Dr. Iris Baumgartner, University Hospital, Bern, Switzerland, will serve as the moderator for a symposium titled “Patient first: ‘Leave the right thing behind’: Debating evidence to provide the answers.”
• Dr. Thomas Zeller, Universitäs-Herzzentrum, Freiburg-Bad Krozingen, Germany, will discuss the latest results from the XPEDITE study, which compares different coatings on stents for treatment of lesions of the above-the-knee femoropopliteal artery.
• Dr. Fabrizio Fanelli, Sapienza, University of Rome, Italy, will examine why DCB + BMS is not a DES.
• Dr. Aloke Finn, CVPath Institute, Maryland, US, will discuss “Understanding restenosis in the SFA.”
• Dr. Marc Bosiers, az Sint-Blasius, Dendermonde, Belgium, will report first results of the ZILVERPASS study, which compares Zilver® PTX® to bypass surgery.
• Dr. Baumgartner will explain the importance of scientific evidence.
• Two live cases from Leipzig and Jena.

Dr. Stephen Black, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, England, will moderate a symposium titled “Is there a need for flexible stents in patients with venous outflow obstruction?”
• Dr. Marta Ramírez Ortega, Hospital La Luz, Madrid, Spain, will present “Helping patients with venous outflow obstruction get back to living in Madrid.”
• Dr. Rick de Graaf, Maastricht University Medical Centre, The Netherlands, will discuss “Post thrombotic syndrome: The importance of stent flexibility.”

Dr. Peter Schneider, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Hawaii, US, will moderate “Options for crossing.”
