In 1982, Endoscopy division co-founders Bill Cook and Don Wilson wanted to create a robust international presence for their young company. They found that “presence” in the charismatic Jean Brihay, the company’s first European representative. With his flair for connecting with people and creating effective networks, Jean pioneered the “clinical endoscopic workshop,” a powerful educational concept that continues to this day. That legacy, along with Jean’s lifelong relationships with prominent doctors and researchers at facilities all across Europe, has helped make our company—and, indeed, the field of endoscopy itself—as dynamic as it is today.
